about us.

Located directly in the middle of the Sand Road Animal Hospital complex, only steps from the veterinary hospital, our store is sure to please even the most discriminating shopper.

A wide selection of premium pet food, including veterinary-recommended diets, fills our shelves.  In our gift section you will find hundreds of fun toys and unusual gifts guaranteed to please pets and the people who love them. We also carry all sorts of pet supplies, including crates and pet carriers, collars and leads, beds, aroma therapy, and many, many other products.

The pet store staff will answer your questions, update you on new products, and try hard to make your shopping experience a happy one. The staff works closely with our veterinarians to select only products that meet the highest health and safety standards. We also carry a line of small gifts chosen to appeal to people who love animals. Need a candle, a birthday card, or a special pair of earrings for a pet-loving friend? You'll probably find it at the Falls Village Gift Store.

If you don't find what you are looking for Chris will do his best to find it for you. We are happy to order something special just for you even if we do not normally stock it in our store. Meeting your needs and the needs of your pet is our top priority.

Our team.

CHRIS LEEMAN / Store Manager

Chris has been a manager at the Falls Village Feed & Gift store for over 10 years. He is very passionate about his work and this passion is fueled by the strong bonds he shares with his customers. Chris takes the responsibility of meeting the needs of the pets he serves by being very knowledgeable and proud of the products he sells. H

Chris spends hours each month staying current on market trends - including any safety recalls and new product developments. Chris welcomes each pet personally as they trot through the doors completely taken by the yummy smells and colorful engaging toys. It is no secret our store is successful because of Chris's love for what he does each day.

Chris lives in East East Hartland, CT and is an active member in his church and in the community at large. He is always looking for ways to give back and this is reflected in the fundraisers he supports through the store and in his own personal life. When Chris is not at the store making pet's lives better, he is at home with his wife and children.

Ida has worked at Sand Road since 2016. She works primarily as our Office Manager, but fills in at the Feed Store on occasion. She works alongside Chris, talking to all our vendors about new diets and has a bunch of knowledge regarding our prescription food. Her wonderful daughter, Maddie, also works for SRAH at the Sit Play Stay Pet Resort

Ida enjoys going to their small house in NY state on her weekends off with her husband Dan. Ida and Dan have been married for over 10 awesome years! He is Ida's best friend. Ida likes to create things using mixed media and she loves cats! She also enjoyed gardening.

During the week Tanya works full time at an orthopedic office and spends her weekends working at the Falls Village Feed Store.

Tanya loves animals of all kinds and absolutely loves when clients bring their fur babies into the store! You can be sure she will give them a treat and a belly rub if they want! She also enjoys house sitting/pet sitting when needed.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending as much time as possible with her precious granddaughter. Tanya lives in Canaan with her 2 cats, Dolce and Martini, and a very mischievous ferret named Jax.

Enrique was born in the US and raised in Venezuela. Because of this, he is fluent in English and Spanish (he can even understand some Portuguese).  Enrique has not been part of the team for more than a couple years, but he has worked hard to familiarize himself with the store and our products to serve you and your pets in the best manner possible.

You will always see him with a smile on his face and you can ask him for help with anything!

Enrique spends his days off swimming and he is currently enrolled in school to become a physical therapist.
